| We’re located on the Gulf of Mexico, just under 5 hours west of Cancun and 20 minutes away from Merida, the capital of the state of Yucatan.

Who are we?
My
name is Jaromey Menshal and I live here in Progreso, Yucatan. I know what it’s like to recreate a life in a
new country - I’ve done it, twice! Everyone has their own reasons for doing it,
their own dream to follow. When my sons were quite young, I decided to pull
them out of school every January to travel for a month. I felt we could learn more by travelling and
seeing places first-hand, experiencing the world, instead of just reading about
it. It also pulled us closer together, since we were together 24/7 for the
entire month, and we shared so many incredible experiences, like welcoming the
new millennium in a nomad’s tent in the Sahara Desert, trekking on camels in
Mauritania and elephants in Thailand, visiting rain forests, discovering
cenotes, pyramids and ruins, riding donkey carts, swimming with dolphins, whale
watching, deep sea fishing – the list goes on and on! And then, there came a
time where I needed more. Just traveling to different places wasn’t enough – I
needed to live somewhere different! After doing my “homework”, I decided that
Asia would be different enough for me. So, we sold our house and cars and I
gave my business (to a dear friend and employee) and the four of us moved to
South Korea for our new adventure! What an incredible experience! Two and a
half years later, we moved to Mexico. I
put my sons in Mexican schools where they quickly picked up the language and
now speak like locals! Kids are so resilient and incredibly quick learners! They’ve
since moved back to Canada to complete their schooling, but still love Mexico
and are completely fluent in three languages.
And what do I do? I’m here to help people like you
accomplish their dreams of recreating their lives, moving to the Emerald coast
or spending part of the year here, making their lives more meaningful, healthy
and happy.
